Hmmm, I more reminded of the Sci-Fi series [TV] Space: Above and Beyond. (LOVED that show BTW)

People were cloned ostensibly to help fight in the war against the AIs. Social prejudices did not allow the clones as many rights as 'real people'. This show actually explored a number of moral and ethical issues surrounding the cloning of humans.
