What's your setup, are going via a mixer or direct into amp. If mixer, try a different channel. If Amp try a different amp. Also when you say continuity check did you put a meter accross your output cable to tone-arm PCB? If these all check out and the channel is still failing, put your old catridge back on and see if it is your newish cart. Also check the pins at the back of the cartridge assembly and the cartridge itself for corrosion. Good luck
