Well yeah, I'm not gonna say HS is a sub-genre of Trance. But like ya said, everyone has their own way seeing these things. Funny you mentioned Italy, i see, that somewhere around 99-00 the Italians started merging their HT & HH and then the Dutch(fe. The Prophet & Neophyte) came along and threw the HC stuff in the mix and voila! I guess in 2001 we had Hardstyle  .
