Default DI.FM Car Stereo Compatible?

Hey guys I was wondering if it is "AT ALL" possible to have DI.FM stream on my car radio? Would there be extra wiring, satellite connection, etc. to be able to achieve this? If so, can anyone hook me up with some details if you don't mind? Thanks in advance!

I know some phones are capable of playing DI, and you could probably hook your phone up to your CD player or use an FM Modulator to play it in your car. I don't know about quality or buffering though.

OK, now for real. It is rather expensive, but possible. You need a notebook in order to get good speed on streaming. And a pc-card, wireless connection. Only you need one that uses the cell phone network. Get a subscibtion, and hook up the notebook in your car with a car adapter. Than get a radio with a aux input, and connect it to your notebook. Or get a FM modulator and hook it up to your notebook. Tune in on the frequency with your car radio. Problem solved. A other thing is with a cell phone. but than you are continiously online. Each way it is rather expensive. Good luck!

Step 1: Use the DI.FM forum search tool
Step 2: Read the other 20 pages with solutions for the same problem.

it should be, so i dont have to listen to the same freaking 4000 tracks on my IPOD, now its all random music that maybe i have never heard before, which could make the driving experience even better

Get an FM transmitter set it to an unused frequency and hook it up to your home computer and then

set up and hook your transmitter up to one of these babies out on the front lawn and start streaming! You should get a good 50 mile listening radius. It would also allow others to experience DI too!

easy.... buy a Satellite internet connection for your car and play it off your laptop...but that would be cost ineffective.... well i can however say that back in December 2006.. onboard Korean Air flight KE 38 from Chicago to Seoul.. about 14 hours of the 17 hour long flight i was jamming out to DI.fm because KE had Inflight Satellite Internet until the end of december when boeing stopped that service.. i hope something materializes again soon. I heard that the airlines that had this service are trying to find a new service provider. I absolutely loved listening to DI.FM from a 747-400 at 38,000 feet over the Arctic and Pacific Oceans on my way to South Korea over winter break... that was awesome! This was if you had your Laptop with.. normally the service would cost $29.95 for the duration of the flight.. but it was the last month of the service so it was offered for free.. Plus whats nice is that Korean Air in Economy Class has Laptop Power Ports

It still amazes me how many new airplanes that i travel on that don't have power ports!! I have my own individual tv in the headrest in front of me and can get 25 channels of direct tv, but i can't get a power port to save my life.

Yea and on top of that... Korean Air has a selection of 40 movies for you to watch in economy on the screen in front of you and also you can play games with yourself or u can play trivia games or tetris or virtual mini golf with other passengers on the plane.

In about 3 weeks or so... I'm going to be flying on Emirates... I cant wait.. they have a selection of a total of 600 TV,Movie,Music,Music Video, etc. selection throught all classes and the meals in all classes are Hotel Meals. I'm going to be flying on 3-August from Munich to Dubai, where I'll be visiting a Family Friend who's lived there for 10 years, and then on the 7th of August, I'll then be flying from Dubai to Seoul, South Korea with Emirates again! The first flight will only be 6 hours or so.. but the second flight will be about 12 hours. look up some pictures of Emirates on airliners.net and take a peek at what their meals look like at on airlinemeals.net remember to add the www

you could also try driving down a street with a lot of cafe's and use each one's WiFi connection with your laptop.

Just download the app onto a smart phone, plug into your aux input in your cd player.
