Always had a softspot for the real ford GT40s (the ones that the ford GT is based on).

otherwise i'd like the TVR speed 12 - only one built and it broke the dyno shaft when they tested it - but running the two engines separate (yes it was like the Bugatti veyron) they estimated power output of 1000hp!

i also rather like the ford GT90 - i think there's one in the smithsonian...

*EDIT*

the GT90 was a dog wasnt it??? was meant to have 900bhp, but from what i heard it was a total disater... but i could be wrong.. ;-)
that speed twelve was a beast and a half.. didnt think it had two engines running separately.. what TVR did was combive two v6s i think to make some 7 odd litre v12... but your right it did kill the dyno!! They were gonna make a road going version but the owner of the company drove the only one home one night and got soo scared he canned the project (spoil sport!!)
One raced in the british GT championship for a couple of years, and theis is what made up the only road going version in the world...crazy with a capital C!!

Orig gt40 would be sweet, but well over a million i think now...... is there a better sound than a v8 burble??
I would just have to have a lotus carlton for weekdays... sucja crazy car, with a crazy history behind it..

GT90 was a bit dodgy but "The four turbos in the GT90 heat the engine so much, it reaches temperatures of 1500 degrees F. The GT90 uses ceramic tile insulation, similar to what is used in the space shuttle, in the engine bay to keep the body from melting." how cool is that?

and yes the speed 12 was canned, but some mystery person managed to get one built... (my money's on Jay Leno)

to add a pic:

either find the URL of the actual pic (right click and select properties - it'll be on the info that pops up), and paste it into the space offered by the "Insert Image" button (the one with the mountain and sun)

or use the "Go Advanced" option and put it in as an attatchment - just select manage attatchments, upload it (must be in one of the formats listed, within the size limits) and it'll be on screen as a linked attatchment.

Jay Leno has one of the best collection of cars in the world - he must have one of every car worth having...

i also want a Saleen Mustang. mmmmmmmmm.....

i'm scared of those - any car with a minimum safe distance is definitely not for those who value their hearing...

I saw an article about the Speed 12 in an issue of EVO magazine, and they did indeed test each half of the engine before mating them and breaking the dyno. The broken dyno btw was rated for 1000hp.

I'm no good at picking one toy for my money so I'd have to start with an M5 and go from there, maybe an Elise or something similarly nimble.

Ferrari 575M Maranello

The rest would be spent to create my very own custom car or it would be spent on a 6-speed TT Dodge Stealth project car, that I hope to have by the end of this summer

They did not sell the TVR as Wheeler drove one home and said it was too powerfull. And yes it was 2v6 engines spliced together on a common crank etc to produce one engine 3 where made by the way not 1 and one the last one of them is now in private hands. And is it not in full race trim runnnig I think around 700hp you may think thats not a lot but imagine that in a lotus elise v quick

Default My fantasy garage

1 million quid, Nissan Skyline 500ish bhp (daily driver) Arial Atom 240bhp model track car. Plymouth Barracuda for the hell of it, Porsche 993 911 air cooled as it's one of the last pure drivers cars, no abs, traction, rear wheel drive etc. An Audi RS6 Avant to take the dog for walkies.

That should do it me thinks
