I love this song so much I googled it, and this thread was one of the first results.
I'm surprised to hear no particular mention of the haunting middle part. I'd love to know where the crying women samples came from. I love the ending, a great, strong reprise of the beginning giving way to the potato sample.

The flute and drone beat are wonderful for meditation

Banco was my first introduction to this type of music back in 1998. Kind of a blessing and a curse. Blessing because I could rejoice in discovering even more great music when I thought I had kind of run out of stuff....A curse because it really doesn't get any better in this vein, just different. I pretty much like anything Toby does and its great to hear there is more new stuff on its way. Just amazing vision its so cool that someone puts together pieces into a hour or so long experience to be enjoyed...usually outside at sunrise, in awe of nature's wonders and man's creative ability to enjoy it. It is invigorating and energizing and happy, but somehow when its over I feel spent and a little sad. And I guess thats it....the whole gamut; a full experience, perhaps cathartic.

Toby has a web site with a forum , and he even posts on it himself from time to time (as does his partner Sandy), but he seems reluctant to discuss samples or even lyrics. Oh, and he has a new CD coming out in the next few months
