WOW what a start - that accapella vocoder song - now, if you told me I would like something like that, I would tell you that you were crazy - but it gave me the chills

Set list for this mix is on the first page of the thread. THere is a page that has a recent playlist as well, shows the last 10 or so tracks played (but not the individual tracks in mixes).

I think I missed a good chunk of the mix already since I'm not familiar with any of the tracks except Imogen Heap (haven't heard her name in a long time... I think I have her album "I Megaphone" buried somewhere). Anyways, what I've heard so far has been excellent.

One quick question: There's a song on the mix that just finished that I really dug. It's the one with an organic rhythm, some spoken-word samples, and flutes going in and out.

Okay, what is the true sign of chillout music that defines the term? When chillout music actually gives you the chills! this mix is so chillastic that it is almost hypnotic, productivity nil for the next few hours, at least in the vocational sense, very productive mind music tho.

Chillfrific as always, X! Viva la chillout!

ahhhhhh the X - Man strikes again.
I have only heard parts of this from time to time.
Today I get to hear the whole thing at last.

Well the "Man" just stepped in and busted my groove but he's right,
I do like the tunes here!
Especially this one. I'd have liked to have heard this one when it debuted last September. That was the time my world fell apart and it would have been nice to have this set to listen to all along.
Thanks Xerxes - great work

Please play this a little more, I have yet to catch it.

ps - really enjoying The Mirror Formula cd Xerxes. The printing on the front cover has a great deal of depth. Whoever made the print process choice, it was a good one. It fits the music, a bit abstract, a bit mysterious, yet very warm.

Thumbs up

nice to hear Imogen getting some playtime! She's been floating around on KCRW (www.kcrw.com) for quite a while.
