2010 Official Community Competition Idea Thread

The response im getting from these videos is OUTSTANDING. As Hudson mentioned, he forgot to set as private on a few of them, and the "leaked" sets are getting so much attention its insane. I think 3 leaked early, and combined with the "auto posting" to my facebook, YT followers, etc - must have had at least 15-20 emails/comments demanding I put then back to public

Yes, the YT DMA hardware pretty much sniped all the sets right off the bat, however its not a problem as we did not submit these for revenue sharing (as much as id love to make a few hundred bucks off of you guys, just not right to do so)

The comp is not even officially launched yet, and I already want to thank Hudson for all his hard work - this comp is defiantly one for the books and kudos for Hudson on all the work he put in.

Im kicking myself in the nuts that I didn't enter this one, I think its one of the best comps DI has had to date

Good luck all - now hurry the eff up because people getting impatient lol!

I have quite a large YT following that ravage new videos almost instantly. Usually my mixes i post end up with about 3-5k views in about 2-3 days.

In this particular example, the video was public for about 30-40 mins and picked up about 40 views.

Hudson - you should go back and edit each video with artist information on each contestant. I already know that everyone is going to be asking where to find out about the DJ for each video. Tracklists in the video description will also be great if possible. I know you added them in most of the videos, which is awesome - but yea... more places the better

for those that entered - shoot Hudson your website url (if you have one) or FB fan page or whatever ya got. People WILL WANT TO KNOW MORE about you after these vids, guarantee it.

90's vid was the one that stayed public for the longest, people ate that shit up man, kudos.

I have been watching them all at work last few weeks, really nice stuff.

Louth, nilicule and I are going on tour in Norway in Nov - we had originally planned on taking this entire train ride, but one of the gigs that started in Gotonborg fell through, so we wont be able to take it after-all

These videos at least showed me what I missed, so I thank the community.. shame we couldnt have contributed our OWN video after the fact /sigh

since i started my new job last monday my time its been very limited in the forums and i really miss everyone, but the new job is awesome so i guess that makes up for it

Although everyone is all aglow with the success of the global stir that Hawk's video project has stirred (Kudos for a job well-done ), keep in mind that the annual Christmas/NYear competition is coming up.........and coming fast it seems.
