so since we don't have anything going on at the moment, i could set up a comp for us if you guys want.

would anyone be up for that. I can come up with an idea in a week or so if you want and we can start making this mixes after next week and maybe set a deadline for September 1st or something.

It could be like, "the end of summer mix" or something. I'm thinking FFA or something specific, like use atleast 3 genres idk. But you guys are down, i can come up with something if you give me a week or so.

I'd be down, you should just be specific on what counts as a genre. Also how long would the mixes be if we get enough people interested?

genres like House, Trance, DnB, HHC, Psy, Ambient, Chill, Alt Rock, Heavy/death metal, Country music, etc.

the main genre idea, nothing specific, so if you spin Goa Psy it can go under Psy.

I would say if we get like 3-5 people, 1hour 30 minute mixes?
Any more, then 1 hour mixes.

The theme would be "The end of summer" as in, the comp will start at the start of September.

Last Halloween, I put something together - I don't (and didn't) know what it is to mix tracks ( I probably don't need to tell that to anyone who heard it) - but entered to "try" to keep this Community Competition alive and kicking.

So c/mon all those who do know what to do and have the skills to show that - these comps have always been one of my favourite parts of DI.

"End of summer" sounds good - hope it kicks off!

Fur a tuppeny ride on the old Partick trams.

Big Wullie, wee Shooie, the steamie, the Co
The shilpit, wee bachle, the glaikit big dreep
The ba's up the slates, and yir gas oan a peep.

These days wurnae rosy and money was tight
The wages hauf finished by Setterday night.
But still we came through it and weathered the ruts.
The reason is simple, oor Parents had guts.

ok lets go for the 3 genre mix. You need to have atleast 1 song from 3 different genres in your mix.

ie, I might start with a chillout song, then go to a trance song, then do a dubstep song.

You can do more than 3 if you want.

Here's examples of genres; trance, house, pop,rap, chillout, ambient, DnB, Dubstep, hhc, harddance,gabber,death metal, indy music, reggaton,alt. rock, grime. etc...

Also Is september 4th too soon for a deadline? if Not, lets stick with that. Let me know ASAP, so i can make a competition page by the end ofthis weekend.
