MAybe we should stop using the word competition, vote or anything else that implies any confrontation - it seems to draw unnecessary aggression out, when very few seem to actually care about anything other than the actual process of creating and listening...

I feeling very unaggressive Phineas.. that is until I got an awful score in thhat quiz comp again!! doh!

But seriously, I never intended to get anyones back up or create a problem...
I have no prob what so ever with the rules you guys come up with at all... But I reserve the right not to enter if I feel that way.. Now that may be down to me sucking as a DJ, or having not creative flair of whatever,

, (or not wanting a spanking from Bruceway!!!

), but I never intended to sound like a screaming brat... who stopms off in a huff if the rules dont suit him... I think that is the prob with text/emails/post... you cant put felling or context in the writing..

don't mind me - i'm just getting disillusioned with the fact that all too many of the musically decent open minded people seem to have abandoned the DI forums recently and i find all too much this "trance is the be all and end all of music, i want to suck tiesto's ****, EDM has to be a serious business about buying the most expensive hardware, using vinyls and showing how i'm better than others..."

it makes me spit bile.

whatever happened to the nice friendly, happy, anti-cliqueishness attitude.

(i hate to use an overused phrase that has lost it's meaning but,)

P.L.U.R.
there was a time when you could go to a rave and a good DJ was one who made people have fun, regardless of cockups, playing deathmetal records or what equipment he used.

no-one cared if tunes got in the charts or if they were underground - although it was great fun to see something make the mainstream and spot the blatant drug references right there on TOTP.

i feel like a hippy when the summer of love died away, and no-one had yet invented punk to provide a new outlet for musical genius.

time to retreat into my own world and wiat for the revolution.

bah. humbug.

Dogfax i only took offense when you said about rules on transitions, i shouldnt have taken much offense. and i would never imply you steal music. just kinda gives you advantage in your favor in my own eyes. im not complaining just trying to encourage you to enter.

im glad to see my revised rules are to everyone's liking or approval.
i choose July 30th cause its a Sunday night and August 13th would be exactly two weeks for polling so rEvo could finish the comp start to end. kinda a friendly send off for our good friend.
