I'll probably end up there after Kuffdam. I want psy, but hearing his sets isn't as reoccuring.

sorry, sacrificed mine at full moon last week, still some chicken, a sheep and a young black cat left.
but none of these ingredients/instruments will beat my "noise" set, there's such a brilliant transition from white to pink noise in it, unbeatable, also mixed in key, so forget about any chance for yours...

what do you usually spin (serious question) - just to know what not to look out for?

...to me thats goa

but i'm willing to admit i am strange and unusual, as goa to many does not create an uplifting soothing feel... but for me... it does

...sometimes it can even be spiritual... as i was hoping people would realize for the halloween comp

BTW... still waiting...impatiently...

I wonder how it would be to mix noise actually. It could be all too easy and you could just call any F'ed transitions part of harsh noise.

I'd imagine that good noise mixing would involve much production work. Phasing, looping, creating your own melodies by timestretching tracks in various places.

*takes notes as he browses through some more noise*

You're not the only one To me, goa, minimalism, and trance (oldschool stuff) are the most spritual kinds of music (and hymns, arias)

I use to spin drum n bass. But I've kinda retired from spinnin' dnb. My set definately isn't DnB, so don't get any ideas.

if I say anything else I'd give away my mix. But I do a couple styles/genres.

Gotta love SERATO!!!!!! Which brings up this...do ya'll use Serato? I was checking the Setup 08 thread and people got this thing called Torq...

WTF is Torq????

As far as I know torq is serato with a different name and slightly different interface, made by a competitor (m-audio)

Torq is slightly less expensive , I think as a marketing strategy more than anything.

Serato seems to be more industry standard though.

Cool beans! Can't wait to hear all the mixes. The fun part is guessing who's mix is who's.

Smile pin the mix on the deejay

I see the Hawk is finally putting together the new thread. It's doubtful I'll be awake to sample anything tonight. I'm sure you West coast peeps will dig your teeth into the goodies.

Later peeps!
