I'm looking at getting a stand for my laptop. Looking it for hours at a time gets quite strenuous on my neck, I would prefer it be eye level. My only dilemma is that the headphones jack is on the front of it which rules out a number of the stands I have looked at.
I'm also looking at getting a USB keyboard, NOT wireless though since that's overkill. I do know that you can get a USB sound card, but I don't know if the quality would be very good from them? |

as far as soundcards go, USB2.0 is theoretically capable of slightly exceeding the speeds and throughput of firewire, and should be ok - avoid USB1.1 like the plague of course.
dunno much about CardBus or PCI and PCIe cos they're basically old hat...
