Default In need of a good turntable under $120

I'm in need of a good turntable that is under $120. I'm looking for one that has an aluminum platter with a decent needle that can be changed if needed. Anti skating adjustments would be great also. Does anyone know of a turntable like this?

you don't sometimes get needles with turntables... i didn't with my technics!

i recon you should look in stores where they part exchange.. or second hand shops... you might get one for that price? doesn't really matter what needles
you have.... but id i were you.. i'd go for belt drives...

there cheaper!

a turn table is just a turntable if you're not a dj..... look in the argos catalog
they sell... 1 turn table for £50 thats around $75

p.s those turntable aren't designed for mixing.. i think...
its sole purpose is just to spin vinyl!!... you can't beat the sound are feel of vinyl.. it really is quite special s

I found the numark TT1600 MKII online that looks pretty good. Are numarks as good as they look?

I'm in need of a new turntable because my cheap RCA plastic platter turntable I bought 3 years ago is freaking warped! I can't stand playing records on this thing anymore. It was ok for playing my moms old 70's vinyl but now that I am buying trance vinyl, I need something better but very inexpencive.

check out some of those DJ packages that sell for like $400. Find the table that it comes with and buy a separate one.

Looks like I will be getting a new Numark TT1600 MKII. It has all the features I'm looking for and it's only $100.

I would rather not by from overseas. The price for shipping is pretty hefty. 49.99 euros for one of the cheapest turntables they have in stock to ship to the US! They do have some good stuff though and pretty good deals if you live in Europe!

Well sad news about the numark I bought. The thing worked great for a couple of days and now the platter starts acting up!!!!!!!!!! The f**king thing starts shaking and moving up and down vigorously! I followed the Instructions when I installed it a couple of days ago! The record sounds like stretched out cassette tape when I play it because the needle is bouncing up and down like a bucking bronco!. Mother F**king thing is gonna be sent right back where it came from. What does it take to get a good turntable??? Money!!!!!!!! I don't have that kind of money to spend on a good turntable but I have records that I wanna hear! This turntable wouldn't be so bad If the dang platter would spin smoothly like it did the first couple of days! I shouldn't have to spend 100's of dollars to get a good new turntable. I would rather not buy used because I don't know exactly what kind of shape it's in.

Save your $$$ and get some technics, if you want something that will last. Most used technics should still work pretty well.

If you have to buy a cheap table, at least make sure it's direct drive and not belt driven.

counterbalance? You mean as in counterweight? the platter still jumps and wabbles even though I don't have the needle on the record. There is a weird grindy clanky sound comming from the spindle area. Thats when the platter starts acting up.
