Well, I'm officially the DJ for my uncles wedding (not by choice, the bridesmaids husband was "supposed" to do it but nobody trusts him anymore *ahem*boozer*ahem).
So, I'm gonna make a quick mix CD and get it over with. My uncle wants classic country (ala Shania Twain), classic rock (80s and 90s), some light dance music (not heavy club stuff), and top 40 hits "for the cool hip people" (to quote). There can't be any rap, swearing, sexuality, etc bad stuff in it, since its happening in a church and their catholic. Anyone have some song suggestions for me? I'm totally stuck, seeing how I appear to be addicted to House (and they want mixed stuff, uh oh!) ![]() Your help would be much appreciated! Its only a week and a half away and I have nothing!

Buddy, you're in trouble. I assume you have none or very little of the music they want to hear so you should just ask them to give you CDs with what they want to hear. Once you have that it will be up to you how much time you will spend on preparation. I suppose they don't know much of mixing so it wouldn't matter. But you can also look into it as a challenge. The best advice I can give you is to be creative. I really can't be of any more help since this is totally not my style either.
Good luck. ![]()

look for popular songs from that time period and or genre. Maybe get a few CD's and pick the best songs from the discs and burn them to one or two CD's. You should try to sneak in some of your favorite appropriate EDM too. Who knows they may like some EDM (Electronic Dance Music).
