I am not trying to hide my love for happycore, simply because of the fact that i have no love for it. And I believe that the meaning of a forum is to discuss, and give your opinion. And I will defenitely not keep my mouth shut because of some guy who disagrees with my opinion. I also believe you haven't really read my reply, because I replied to someone else, because he was wrong about something.

I will keep listening to di.fm because sometimes they play my kind of music, and I will certainly not stop give my opinion, if you've got a problem with that, just don't read the messages..

Sorry I was mostly reacting on you saying Americans dont knwo S#!%. I just notice that you rarely EVER like anything being played and I know that there are other hardcore radio stations that will play what you like. I would want you to stop listening, I dont really care. In fact sometimes I find what you say pretty entertaining. Insulting Americans is rather lame though. Granted I dont like most of them either but I wouldnt make generalizations on people.

So anyways... New topic, Name some of your favorite DJs that you think make good hardcore. Did Hellraiser already happen? Did you go? That looked like a great line up.

Soccer fans would go to these clubs and chant their soccer cahnts to the beats and that is what freaked out richie hawtin and John A. when they saw a huge group of people chaning "JODEN JODEN JODEN" to insanely fast beats. The music in that club was being referred to as GABBA (not hardcore). The term hardcore didnt start coming around till people start using that term to describe the semi fast (around 150 bpm) sounds of breakbeat electronic music being played in clubs in or around the UK. That sound eventually evolved and hardcore eventually what many people call Happy Hardcore. The harder and darker form of music was always called GABBA, or Gabber here in the states, but since it didnt start with that name, the UK people kept with the term Hardcore.

Not every American is oblivious, as I am sure not everyone from the Netherlands is as closeminded and judgemental as you.
Whatever, I don't think we will ever agree. I dont know what you mean with " Joden Joden Joden" chaning to insanely fast beats. I frequently visit socces games, also against Ajax (Joden), but that has never striked me. I do know one thing, and that is that there is a difference between hardcore and happycore, and on this hardcore channel, 90 % of the music is happycore.

I will agree that most of the music here is happycore. Its a matter of the stupid genres game, the millions of sub genres of hardcore just get plain annoying. I notice that lots more people are lumping it all together lately. Where you will gabber, speedcore, happycore, freeform hardcore all in one room but the flyer only says HARDCORE. Hell, well even get Hardstyle in the hardcore room every once in a while.

Maybe youre right, and I was making generalizations, but it just seemed to me, most americans found that music played here on hardcore channel is the real core, but often is happycore.

No, didnt go to Hellraiser, favourite djs; Darkraver, Neophyte, RTC, Dana.
Yours?

Thats true. I find it a pity that mostly happycore is played. What radiochannels do play real hardcore/gabber?

As far as hardcore (real) goes, I tend to be a bit more faster, like Ron D Core, Tron, Hellfish (like 200bpm+ stuff). Neophyte is great most of the time, but his records get way to played out here, same with Scott Brown. I like some Omar Santana, but a lot of his records are very similar. Da Predator was really good here about 2 months ago. That was a nice change from the same ole same ole.

I wouldn't be picky. You should be happy that there is a Hardcore station here to begin with. Thanks to Silver of course. It used to be the radio station just for Happyhardcore.com. It's not like we're going to just change what we've done for so long.

Default Most definitely hardcore

This is most definitely hardcore; not sure what you're on. Just because we don't like grinding screeching noises and distorted basskicks doesn't mean we're less hardcore than you. Hardcore is a VERY VERY wide genre and you trying to put down a specific type of hardcore because it's not 'hardcore' enough isn't going to change the fact that happy hardcore is still related to gabba and freeform.

And Americans know their hardcore, trust me. Obviously more than you do.

Peace.

I don't get this thread... People who don't like Happy Hardcore coming on here saying it should be something else?!

Do you go to a techno club and ask for drum n bass? If you don't like happy hardcore, don't tune into this station

Plus, this is easily Happy Hardcore, the sounds, the style, the speed. In fact its a pretty decent mix set. Anyone who says this isn't HH doesn't know what they're on about.

According to the hardcore channel info, "As the majority of tracks and CD's being produced these days is upfront hardcore, you will find that the channel contains about 80% of it." There you have it. It's upfront hardcore. It certainly isn't uplifting trance or anything.

Exclamation READ IT AND PONDER !!!

Some of you do nothing but bitch and moan that DI's not playing YOUR style of whatever...Just be happy our scene has progressed to the point of popularity that it has...and most of that popularity has been due to the willingness to share and positive attitude of those involved

So maybe, just maybe, you high and mighty motherf**kers instead of cutting down other's tastes try suggesting actual artists or SEND IN YOUR OWN DAMN MIX IF YOU THINK YOU GOT SOMETHING TO BRING TO THE TABLE!!!

nuff said... Peace to the HC Posse...
