Peter Jackson dropped from 'the Hobbit'

Obviously New Line Cinema thinks otherwise. Yes there's dispute about money [not]being paid to Jackson for LOTR trilogy, however I still think Jackson should direct "The Hobbit".

You know if this movie blows, that's the first thing people are going to shout. Is that New Line Cinema screwed up from the start, by not having Jackson direct it.

Who knows? Maybe whatever director is chosen will follow Jackson's style, while adding his/her own flavor. I hope for the sake of Jackson AND the LOTR Trilogy that "The Hobbit" lives up to it's name and reputation, otherwise, what the hell are they doing?

Yeah, that's a huge error on their part. But I am glad that at least the Hobbit is getting made.

The movie won't be the same without Peter Jackson's magic touch.

On another note, did he lose some serious weight? That picture in the link doesn't even look like the Peter Jackson I remember.
