7/10

i reallly enjoyed this movie. it was refreshing from the all the action movies ive been watching. i grew to hate his grand daughter and was happy with the ending.

Gran Torino was good but not great. From the characters to the dialog, everything seemed too cliché and over the top acting didn't help this at all. Two sons for example, played by professional actors (unlike some of the other people on the set who were new to acting but were natural in their roles), did a very poor job conveying the relationship between them and their father.

If you ignore all that it was a very enjoyable flick. 7/10

They fought to the death. love hans zimmer his music is absolutely brilliant. it really adds so much to the movie and the filming was great to. just cant stop raving lol
Interesting, cause I find the Last Samurai to be one of the worst movies with Tom Cruise, except maybe Jerry Maguire which was entertaining once..., but I doubt I will watch it ever again.

Hard Candy
On DVD
5 out of 10
I only caught the last hour of it. It had a very silly story behind it and it was pretty gross. I actually felt bad for the guy. Eh, just an overall strange flick.

Some of the pictures were quite offensive and disturbing. I feel that they were completely unnecessary and I wish that I hadn't seen them.

The Proposal 8.5/10

Cute and funny, quite LOL in a few parts. Didn't realize this was set in Sitka (three of my cousins live there). Very nice scenery, Betty White kills, but the little symoyid (sp) steals every scene he's in. A bit slow in one or two parts. Some short serious parts as well, and I like my comedies and romcoms pure, so that's why I took off a point and a half. If you are a Sandra Bullock fan or have a guy crush on Ryan Reynolds, you'll probably enjoy this. A great date movie!

Year One - 6/10
I was very disappointed. Then again, I don't know why or if I had high expectations... The problem with comedy movies today is that they rely on improvising lines for the sake of spontaneous humor rather than relying on clever writing. It's getting old. One positive in this movie was this actress Olivia Wilde - her face is super sexy.

Transformers 6.5/10

Good, but not satisfying. In other words I had a 3 course meal but I'm not full. Expectation were correct considering the many reviews that explained the how well it fell short of the 1st movie

True this is one of my all time favourite movies. The scene where he returns to the family in which he left really sums it all up

oh how I hate that. Write a damn script then begin shooting, dont wing the dialogues the entire movie. They only seem awkward at best.

The Cannonball Run - 9/10

I had seen Rat Race, so when this got going, I knew the plot plain and simple. However, it was nice watching a bunch of older famous actors and actresses in a simple movie just having fun. It's a classic pop and popcorn movie. I imagine pairing it with Dazed & Confused would make for a good weekend afternoon.
