knowing - 6/10
lightly entertaining like all of nick cage's movies. i wonder if he'll ever be in something great s. darko - 5/10 a "sequal" to donnie darko featuring his little sister samantha. i don't think it's made by the same people cause it tries way too hard to be like the first but fails so hard. it's not bad looking so production quality is decent.. it's the story that sucks. cute girls though tokyo - 9/10 a collection of three short films from three different directors all set in tokyo. one of the three diretors is michel gondry who did "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" and "science of sleep" so if you know those you'll recognize the style of his part here. the other two films were mind blowing. by the way, it's all japanese with english subtitles if you can dig it

TRANSFORMERS!!!!! i'm giving it a 6/10
pure action and explosions, sappy love story, terrible plot, hilarious amount of swearing *i thought this was meant to be a kids movie??* actually 10 points alone for the chick with the tail. wow. that was creepy haha SO CLICHE' it was actually funny. I can definatly see the influences of the matrix, and Star wars in this... eh, good fun. but don't sit too close to the screen, you WILL get motion sickness... The Proposal. I saw it twice at the movies, and Loved it both times. it's so great. I love sandra bullock, and Ryan Reynolds is a sexy beast what more could you ask? set in beautiful locations, with a witty and fast moving script, this is a GOLDEN movie for sure.8.5/10

The House Bunny 6/10
Ehhh, VERY predictable, it feels like every Adam Sandler movie ever created.. only with a chick POV... Still, Anna Faris is a really great actress and she makes this movie better than average....

good, but not great
a great film has something important to say about the world. The Rock was not important. i do like it for Ed Harris and his character, but Sean Connery and Nick Cage always bring the cheese. However, i'm gonna have to see it again just to be sure

Great shitty movie that has no value, but at least it doesn't make you empty on the inside. Shopaholic on the other hand... Worst movie ever (cept for John Goodman who made me crack up a few times). In fact I was offended how uneducated and simpleminded producers of the movie think we are to put out this crap. Its disturbingly naive...

anyway list of 3 mini- seires I enjoyed in the last few months
Coco Chanel Mini Series 7/10 ![]() Could have been more detailed, and I expect it's not very truthful in regards to certain things. But still a good insight into the early life of a fashion icon. Elvis Mini Series 8/10 ![]() http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0437714/ Again I feel certain aspect of his life were not shown to the full extent and there is very little focus on his music, but rather his personal life. Still enjoyed it very much and recommend to everyone. Great acting from Jonathan Rhys Meyers too. For an Irish I thought he portrait Elvis pretty damn well. John Adams 10/10 ![]() At loss for words here. HBO did it again. If I was to summarize it in one sentence I would say it's a "Human & Personal perspective on early history of the United States"

Terminator Salvation .... I rate it 7/10
- It's action packed the cgi or other graphics have improved I love those huge robot and the cycles. the only down side of it is the story there are a lot of story that isn't connected in on the last 3 part of the movie. maybe they concentrated too much in connecting the movie to the series which I needed to check out ... and watch this movie again |

"The Taking Of Phelam 123"
7/10. Travolta's level of performance as a crazed criminal hasn't lost it's edge. Denzel did a good job on his part, though he wasn't meant for it IMO. The reason I give it a 7 is because Denzel's script should've allowed him to project more energy like he did in previous films. This is what made this movie boring at times. Overall not bad

The Watchmen - 2/10
Seriously, when my brother pauses it a bit over half an hour into it and asks me what the story line is, and I have no clue at all, that is a seriously bad sign. This movie gets 1 point for being so screwed up, and 1 point for Christopher Meloni being in it (Law & Order SVU and Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle). I hope to never see it again. |

I think I know where you went wrong though. You were trying to wrap your head around the plot without understanding what's important here. The book or the movie for that matter is about psychology of a masked crusader first, plot second... in fact you wont even understand the plot fully without understanding the background and psychology of each character. Understand that the movie follows the book almost word for word, minus few omission because of time constraints... and the book... well lets just say it was not an easy ready... but in the end more gratifying then anything I've read in a very long time.

That doesn't give me incentive to read the book. I watched it all the way through, I gave it a complete chance. I even did try to enjoy it. Just couldn't.
Different people have different tastes, that's all. Psychology doesn't do anything for me in movies. Silence Of The Lambs put me to sleep in the middle of a sunday afternoon the first time I saw it, and I was looking forward to seeing it. They just bore the crap out of me. Hellboy is good though. ![]() |
