Thumbs down

"Get Smart" - 2/10 very disappointing! I expected a funny movie with lots of laughs stemming from the clumsiness of Agent 86, but instead, Agent 86 is an expert in everything (like James Bond), and the movie is just an unfunny lousy action movie.

Wanted
ever since The Matrix it seems all action films feel compelled to have "bullet time" sequences and crazy impossible scenes. most of the time they're a bit pointless and dont add to the film - in this case i wasn't too bothered - i quite enjoyed the film just for what it was on it's own merits. 'twas ok, nothing more, nothing less. 7.5/10

I just saw Doomsday, and I give it a 8/10. It was a good story line, but the movie itself was kind of strange.

Ichi the Killer
This is where QT ripped off the comically overdone blood and gore from the Kill Bill movies. Protagonist is Ichi, a young man who was brainwashed to kill people (mostly yakuza bosses) by slicing through various parts of them with razor blades attached to the heels of his shoes because he thinks that when he was in school he watched a girl he liked get raped by bullies. His arch-nemisis is a blonde sado/masochist in a maroon trenchcoat/sportsjacket who tortures his victims with skewers and cut holes into his cheeks.

10/10. You'll laugh until you start coughing up blood. One of the most amusing movies I have seen in a while

ahhh This movie is great!

REPO! The Genetic Opera This is a rock opera from Lionsgate. I had to road trip up to Berkeley to see it (it was only released in 7 theaters in the entire nation).

Repo! is set in a dystopic future that is plagued by organ failures. GeneCo makes organs and finances transplants. These transplants are extremely expensive and the patient makes monthly payments similar to car payments to pay it off. If you miss a payment GeneCo sends out the RepoMan to reposes your organs.

Yea, Badass. The songs are all kickass. Paris Hilton is in the film and not annoying one bit . The dvd release is supposed to come out in january, so that's when most of you will have to see it. If you can catch it in theaters, do it.

There are not many movies I see in theaters that I want to own immediately after seeing it. This is one I want now.

REPO! The Genetic Opera :::::: 10/10

Here's the Trailer:
YouTube - Repo! the Genetic Opera - Theatrical Trailer

This is probably the catchiest song in the movie, kinda like a nursery rhyme.

THE MOUTH OF MADNESS

i know it's kind of old, but i actually saw it for the first time. this is wacked out. like a nightmarish acid trip--especially the part with the woman crawling around in the middle of the road like an arachnoid!

9/10

Planet Terror - 8/10

I'm a fan of cheesy action movies and zombie movies so this one gets the thumbs up from me!

Get Smart
Good movie. It was ultimately mostly forgettable but I enjoyed it. I was expecting Smart to be a bumbling moron but he was actually very smart...and bumbling.

James Bond - Quantum Of Solace
I saw a showing yesterday afternoon and liked it. I think most people didn't like it that much but I heard a few people loving it. I think the first one was probably better, but this one was good too - if somewhat less substantial. But I never did figure out what the Quantum of Solace was, they mention it once and that's it.

BTW, if you watch this, be sure to be familiar with the first one because it quite literally picks up about twenty minutes after the first one ends.

Dead Alive (Brain Dead)

I love this movie. I'd seen it once before at a friend's house, but tonight I saw it in a theater at the midnight movie showing. soooo kickass. Peter Jackson rules!

James Bond - Moonraker 8/10

Gotta love the product placement. Big smash of something into a building, everybody is running for their lives.... and there sitting on the table with the logo pointed right at the camera not affected by anything... a 7-Up container.

I thought it could have been longer. And Bond gets smashed up a bit too much for him to keep going the way he does.
But I still enjoyed every minute of it.

Yeah, I kept thinking he needed to take a shower and a nap the whole time.

Hellboy 2
10/10!
I loved this movie. It has even more of the surreal fantasy craziness than Pan's Labyrinth and was a great entertaining flick. I loved it.

The Incredible Hulk
8.5/10
I thought this was pretty good. It wasn't as memorable as some other movies I've seen recently but it was entertaining enough.
