battlestar galactica! Just recently got into this! I even rented the ridiculously cheesy 1970's episodes to get me prepped for the modern show!

John Adams

I love long series but don't watch them for the fear of undoubtable becoming hooked! But I started watching John Adams, which is a mini-series, and even though I had no interest in American history from 1775 to 1862 I found this series so far very interesting. The acting is great and each episode always gets to the point.

i'm suprised that there's only one mention of "The Wire" in this thread. i, too, am in baltimore, but that's not the only reason why this series is good. this show is more real than reality TV. if you're a big city dweller, netflix this series immediately

Right now Two and a Half Men

House was at the top for me, but now I just hate the new team and Season 4. Looks like Season 5 is losing it's edge as well.

I'm also a Dexter fan and I had the same doubts about season 3 but its exactly what I wanted to see. I wanted to see his character evolve and face realistic obstacles, I wanted to see him challenged with moral dilemmas. I'm up to episode six and really enjoying the partnership/friendship he has with Miguel.

That's just my thoughts on it though, all my mates just wanted more bloodshed
