Do fiction writers have a reputation for predicting accurately our future? I dont know, the notion rings a bell. I think theres been a few freakishly accurate cases; victorian novelists predicting flying carriages and such. But obviously what has passed holds no influence over further predictions if we're talking in terms of probability, and besides, this particular article sounds like an attempt to twist HG Well's educated words into a heap of fascist BS. The future of our species' physical attributes is a far too broad and complex subject to draw a 5 paragraph or so conclusion from. In fact I find that pretty audacious and an insult to readers.
...I personally think that if technology becomes more prevelant (which it almost certainly will do), we will become far weaker and vulnerable to disease but have much more dexterity and an increased ability to multi-task and handle stress.

i remember a while back there were some supposed experts saying that red hair would no longer be around. as if just because it's a recessive gene it would entirely vanish from the population - or as if no redheaded people would reproduce ever...

I think his vision of the "upper class" is just what he thinks of a perfect pornography.
More seriously though, this almost seems to be somewhat influenced by Nazism, with the "superior race of people over the underclass." |

Anything is possible....
But I doubt it will turn out exactly like that... I saw a movie once where society was kinda like that.... not so extreme though.... I think it was called Gattaca or something.... pretty cool movie...
