B-2 Bomber Crash

Happened here in Guam about 14 hours ago. I saw the black smoke down the runway. Man, let me tell you, it was thick. First one to ever crash! 1.2 billion dollars lost right here. Ouch. At least the pilots were able to eject safely.

how many B2 bombers do you think the US has?? If it was only 1 then I would say yea its worth that amount...

But they have more than 1 and if each plane was 1.2 billion that would bankrupt us in no time.....

Looks like they spent about $44 billion to build 21 units:

Not really surprising considering the hundreds of billions spent each year maintaining wars around the world.

That was a F-117 Stealth Fighter not a Bomber. Bombers are larger and most likely cost more.

I'm glad the nuclear weapons they were carrying did not go off and take with them the whole island, or worse, the entire region.

I wonder how many bombs were on board.

it must be more than a little unnerving when one of these modern unstable design aircraft suffers a serious faliure such as the computer crashing or an engine crapping out...

i wonder how long it'll be before one of the eurofighters goes down... at least that will cost a little less than £600,000,000 (someone somewhere must have gone "Doh!")
