Do you believe in Sirens?

The following images belong to which it seems to be the corpse of a siren, it was found by fishermen in manglares of the zone of the Olivitos to the north of the State Zulia (Lake of Maracaibo) Venezuela. It was transferred under strict safety measures and hermetism by the local authorities without one knows to where or that organism it was transferred. The body measures approximately 1,70 M.s of length. In one of the approaches it is possible to be appreciated that the specimen could be male, in opposition to the belief that we have of which they are females and therefore this unit sines or protuberance are not observed to him some.

These images were taken by a worker of an oil contractor who makes works of maintenance in the sector that arrived at the site before the authorities and hidden its camera so that not outside confiscated.

That's some scary shit. I viewed all the pictures atleast 10 times already except the last one since that scared the milkshake out of me

It looks very real but you never know since I still have that Greg Apodaca* pictures left in mind and you never know what people can do with some home made doll and photoshop.

On a sidenote, when is Oceanlab gonna release 'Sirens of The Sea' as a vinyl? Been waiting for it forever.

that makes no sense - a siren is a mythical creature. if this is real it was either the creature is responsible for the myth arising and so is in a sense the siren or it is unknown and hence is just another deepsea creature.

what it is if it were real would be defined by it's genetics - taxonomy given a latin name in the standard way. whether it would be a siren is purely down to whether this creature had been seen/caught and described as such.

you write as if "a siren" is a scientifically defined creature in it's own right.

there are of course plenty of examples where either creatures that definitely have been known to exist for a long time are suggested to be the real culprits for myth sightings (e.g. dugongs being identified as mermaids) or creatures thought to be long extinct suddenly being discovered alive and well millions of years later than expected (e.g. the coelocanth).

If that was real then:

A) His eyes would of eroded
B) His gums would not be as coloured as they are
C) Bush would of declared war on the sea

you're completely right, but i have to ask - how in the hell do you know what colour the gums of a half rotten siren corpse are? is there something you're not telling us?

Good question..

The colour of his gums (or any living creature with gums) is determined by flow of blood thorugh them. The colour in this picture shows that he has a healthy set of gums with a good blood flow.

Obviously being dead this would not be the case.

I know nothing about anatomy only how to B*ll S**t convincingly, this knowledge is based on what little time I spent at school listening to my attractive science teacher, as apposed to staring at her boobies.
