That's jive he's speaking, an earlier form of "ebonics". It was a slang dialect in the 70's where if you can't get the lingo right away, you never will

10 years younger than me... this officially makes me feel old. I bet you don't even remember Ace of Base or Salt N' Pepa.

Worse, I had multiple girlfriends before you were born.

Ok, for the shush up and listen to the master, here's a short list of what you need to know:
  • Girls want fun, they want spontaneousness.
  • They will leave you if they get bored for longer than 100 hours, and that is being generous with the time length.
  • Money will keep some around, but being great on many other levels will keep more around... however finances is one of the main issues that ruin marriages. So, if you even want to consider getting married, get that crap settled first.
  • Listen more than you speak. If you can prove you listened to them talk, and not screw things up by saying the wrong things, this will help a lot.
  • Last but not least, take every piece of advice with a grain of salt. People are way too biased about what they think when it comes to relationships. Stop over-analyzing, stop asking for so much help. Just go out, have fun, and enjoy it. Switch your mind off if you have to sometimes. I do.

I was born in 87 so I remember ace of base, my sisters played it in the car nonstop
I'm probably the youngest of the generation who remembers what life was like before the internet
to me the 90's were awesome, I don't know how kids can grow up in this decade. there are teenagers who were born in 96, crazy
I like that era because we had good video games like playstation and n64 and cool technology, but it wasnt so advanced that it cut us off from the outside world (IE no pretentious douchebags texting). I still remember in the mid ninetees when e-mail seemed new and cutting edges, and the fact that you could buy things online totally blew my mind.
hell i still remember the oldschool gameboy with the olive colored screen that you needed to see in the bright light and though that was the sh1t

How I remember the 90s... had my first real girlfriend. Started my partying with tons of friends. Played baseball, took karate, ran cross country, among other things. So I still got out there, but I enjoyed those systems immensely. I remember playing Super Mario 64 at a show in Toronto in Japanese form before it came here from there, and hadn't been translated yet, and me thinking it was downright amazing.
I also remember coming home one day to that big honkin gameboy with that olive screen, and sitting on top were monster truck tickets.
Beyond that though, I also remember going to a car show in the 90s, and there was a dodge viper, very first one off the line ever made, I got to sit in it.
Oh, and I miss my game gear. Was robbed at one point and it was grabbed. Amongst a number of my cd's. Some of that music back then that I had... geez. I still have a copy of Gillette feat 20 Fingers - Short Short Man.

I'm at a weird age
where I'm considered both retro(by kids) and a youngster(by people 27+) at the same time

I can so relate to that. In a class with people about 6 to 8 years younger than me for the most part. Their shows seem to be a lot of stuff I missed. *Shrug*
