Sure, a guy and a girl can be friends... but for me, I think it's unlikely that I would ever be best friends with a girl and keep it as just friends. I just can't see that happening for me if I was such close friends with a girl. Hmmm... though I suppose it could happen if I thought she was completely unattractive.
(But this isn't anecdotal, btw... it's purely hypothetical)

I'm best friends with a guy. When we met, he had a crush on me, but I was still in a relationship back then. Then after I broke up we had sex once, decided not to repeat it and have been best friends ever since. We talk about everything, sex and emotions included. I never ever feel like he still has a crush on me (he doesn't) and if that isn't enough, he's quite a womanizer, so he's getting lots of sex from several sex buddies and one-night-stands...

Actually, I think because we had sex before, it's easier to be open with each other now. We've basically been all the way, so why be shy now? But I guess you need the right mentality for that to happen. If you're quite inhibited when it comes to sex, then I could imagine a certain awkwardness when you're trying to be friends.

not all but about 99% odds. except having sex with naughty girl, in this case, there is nothing called responsibility. in other hand, u had sex with a good girl, and after that u abandoned her because of nonsense. I did not abandon any of them. I'm still friends with them. I did not trick them, force them, or abuse them. WE wanted to do it so that's what WE chose to do, and WE enjoyed it.

Your right about the mentality aspect. If you have the right mindset, sex is an addition commonality that can make a friendship tighter. I'm not saying that it has to, or that it will work for anyone, but it is kind of a cool thing to be able to share with a friend.

i did not pervert of what he did. i just want to emphasize that in my country, u cant keep being friends together if u had sex with each other. i know every countries have lot of different including sex, relationship, life, ....

here, i just try to protect the moral of friendship. Pls should not have sex with your friend. For some girls, sex is nothing. for most of girls, sex is the important thing that their life have, and they will probably fall for the one who have sex with them for the first time. and of course, they'll be sad, even go for suicide if the one go away. I have about 3 best friends .. 1 is a girl, 2 are guys .. one of the guys is my 1st cousin .. so i'd say yes, guys and girls can be best friends .. i do however like my other guy best friend, the one that's not related to me .. so I'm not sure, I guess
