You know you're getting old when...

I made a terrible realisation last night:

every cute girl i have checked out for months, or possibly longer, the first thing i've looked at is not hair, face, legs, tits, etc.. but

her left hand. specifically, is there the dreaded ring.

if that's not proof i'm getting old, i don't know what is...

Actually, you get old when you have kids, and you get even older when they graduate from college.

it's called damage control- for yourself. noticing things like that (ring, etc.) i've noticed has also become second nature these days when it comes attraction recon. it could only be a good thing - who want's to mess with married/taken women anyway ... or do i?

I'm not speaking from experience, but I find the concept of someone who you're with and will grow old with you, that's nothing to be scared about. Because love turns that around and shows a brighter face.

I can understand it'll be harder for me when I get older, but hey, that's how life works and it's OK to be scared. But don't let something like that bring you down.

offtopic: I've learned that stress, depression, or any other negative tension is really unhealthy mentally, and even physically as you get older. I'm trying to face a more happier perspective in life and you all should be doing the same.

No your not getting old your getting wise, because subconsciously you know a lady who wears a ring has had lots of practice and if your lucky might share what she knows with you.
Who knows they might just be wearing it to keep all the lame brains away and if your half as charming witty and intelligent as you seem you gonna get sorted in a heartbeat.

you know you're getting old when you wonder daily why no one has started a thread on divorce in the personal life and relationships board.

You also know your old when you stop looking for wedding rings on women becuase you are trying to guess if you are old enough to be their father or not.

I was talking to this chick from my school about a year ago. I asked the girl out but instead of answering she flashed her ring at me. I was like:"son of a..." Ever since then thats the first thing i look for.

The churning of age is as much a state of mind as it is a way of life ... keep your mind and body sharp and you'll never feel that way. Time comes and goes by and age happens to one and all. What's much more important than the one day that we add a unit to the age of our life are the 364 that we spend in between!!!
