Rave for being more optimistic

I used to have a fairly pessimistic outlook on life. The main reason was my depression, but other factors contributed to it. I couldn't help but feel like life held nothing but disappointment for me, and whenever a hardship or bad times came my way, I wouldn't be surprised. On the contrary, I expected bad things to happen. I even expected failure whenever I undertook a new endeavor. I got more optimistic when I moved here...I pretty much left my old self back in my old home. I guess I've learned to expect the best, even when things aren't quite going right. Problems don't last forever, right?

I actually feel better this way, and new experiences don't seem so daunting anymore.

It's been quite nice out here the past couple of months. It was a little hot when I got here, but the humid air and fresh coastal breeze helped out. Sometimes, it rains on sunny days, and it feels like a sauna, but it subsides eventually.

I'm particularly curious about winter in Florida. I can't help but wonder what the temperatures are going to be around here, and how much rain we're going to get. Another thing that piques my curiosity is whether or not some trees shed their leaves in winter here, and what sea life is visible at different times of the year. I want to swim with some of the native sharks and marine mammals, but I'm not exacly sure when and where in Florida I can see them. I've gone shark diving in Hawaii and California, but never here.

The time to find out is now, I guess. This will be an adventure.
