Hey I'm new to the forums, not the EDM scene. I was curious to see if there was any events posted for Seattle, WA. I was suprised disappointed to see that the forums were not broken down to a more specific region.
When I did a search for Seattle, it came back with one result from last July.

Is this simply because I am not a "pro" user...

Has nothing to do with being premium member or not...the whole parties and events section just isn't all that big. It's basically just a little extra feature to give the promoters a place to post their stuff instead of having them post it in random places all over the forums.

And i think it would be impossible to break it down further...you'd need hundreds or even thousands, if not millions, of sub-sections. And even then, it's not DI who actually posts the events in there. It's the promoters of those parties that come here and advertise for their events, so in the end it's all up to them. Besides, that's not what DI is about...in the end it's still an online radio station

Not really... this isn't an events site, it's an online radio station. The dedicated section of the forums exists for users and promoters who choose to post their events here, but as you have noticed it isn't very active. You need to seek out an events site dedicated to your local scene.
