In direst need you are welcome to put a compressor on the whole mp3 using Goldwave or similar... but I know that's not ideal so I am thinking of asking a friend to do the levels for me on this one. It should be ready within a couple of weeks. I don't know why I didn't do this earlier, but it will be nice to finally offer a tune that sounds clear all the way through.

Great tune man. The levels do need some work, but i like what you have.

..as for me i was laying out a song today, still needs work and the break isn't exactly what i want..plus maybe give it a little trancy feel by adding on some chords above the bass, gonna experiment around and see what i can get for now its just this:

dude i LOVE that bass. Really nice and crisp. I wish that kick was more pronouncing though. You can come out with a real tech house stomper here if you use a nice punching kick and may be some percussion. Good job so far man. I'm wondering where you're going to go with it.

Thanks..I like the bass too and i've brought the kick up a little and layered it with another kick to give it some more punch.... but im still struggling with adding more stuff to it (nothing is sounding good).. i think im gonna play around and use more of that part at 3:00 min and add some percussion and maybe a snare might be useful..... gonna take my time to get something i like out of this track as opposed to what i usually do.

Thanks alot, I have fashioned a XenonZagIII now which is a bit longer, and with some of the later high-pitched synths taken out and generally levels are better but still not quite what I'm looking for. And my kick drum... I can hardly hear it so I need to sort that out too.

Yacek - Keep The Bass

the beginning is rather the same... but in the middle I've added a new line... I tried adding some other percussion like snare and hi-hats and some others but they aren't fitting and I think with just a kick I'm staying true to the title "Keep The Bass" ... i might take a little break from this song (cuz I'm getting sick of it) and work on some new stuff and come back to it..

I would recommend automating the bassline's with low filter on the transitions or on breakdowns.

But maybe u had that in mind allready :]

lol... i can tell you are much more experienced than myself.... all I can say is the Tech-trance song is sick...I don't think I'm cable of giving any more worthwhile input than that... I've only been producing EDM for like a couple months (since September 2007) so I'm kinda really new, but somebody told me practice makes perfect so I'm at it everyday.

I like the intro but when the kick comes in its not convincing enough...It needs more punch to it.

yaa...getting a nice kick going isn't easy... for me I try to layer kicks with different frequencies together to get something fat, and make sure (as best I can) to EQ everything so it's not in the way of the kick, and on FL there is this cool thing I learned to do by linking the volume knob inversely to the kick so my sounds duck under everytime the kick hits... that's just some stuff I have learned and helps me sometimes.

...and I finished my track to the best ability I could, changed the melody a little, and messed around with a low filter as dannyNergy suggested (not to good with that yet)..so here it is -->

I totally agree with you about the first bit...

that is why when the tune is finished roughly the first 2 and a half minutes will be completely taken out.
