i have no link as yet because it is being played on my piano... haha it's a pretty lullaby like track. and im thinking of adding some nice deep bass lines to drift between the melody and the synths. it's sounding pretty nice. just have to add the piano into the track

You're definitely getting there. It picked up quite nicely. Nice bass and progression. That's basically all there is to it really. Everything past this point is extras. You can layers synths, you can program effects, beef up your beat line and etc.

Sounds great man. Nice use of effects. Now, i'm huge on bass and beat and that's probably the one thing i'd change in your track. Gotta spice it up. You have very nice progression. I think if you have some percussion in the beat sequence that progresses with the track, that would sound great. Don't go overboard though. It is a progressive track afterall

guess it shows that i stopped listening to trance about a decade ago huh...

the lead sound is a composite of three layers, one of which is a z3ta sound

Very, very cool Phin!! I like how you managed to have a nice, complex melody while still keeping everything so simple and crisp. The only downside, in my opinion, is that it gets a little drawn out at times and loses some energy. Other than that I think it is a fine piece and am waiting to hear the finished version. Keep up the good work!

Well I think the big one that stood out for me was from 6:40-7:50. I counted around 48 measures of generally the same stuff without much being added. Now that in no way is like a crime or anything, but for me the repetitiveness kind of lost some energy. Also, around 0:43-1:32 is kind of the same thing. Perhaps you could trim them down a tad or something? It's not really necessary, since the song will sound good either way, but it was just a little thing that nagged me hehe.

I think it would sound better to either chop off the first 8 bars, or add some cool swooshing effect. Or fade in a drum or two during that time. Something to add some variety. And I love the main melody, but it seems repeated a lot. Once it gets going, it never stops until the very end. Maybe if you dropped the melody for 8-16 bars in there, it will build some tension, then you can bring it back with a BANG. You could even save the octave change for that moment, or 8-16 bars after the melody returns.

E-Light, I thought your tune was great as is. Epic and relaxing. It ended kind of abruptly lol. I guess you're still working on it?
