Hey everyone, Phineas sent me some vocals and this is what I came up with so far. I have never worked with vocals before and I have never written a prog track before so this was an awesome challenge. It's got more work to be done to it but let me know what you all think. Note: No samples other than the vocals were used, no presets were used, no vengeance drum kits, none of that. This track was built from the ground on up.

My first real project since I have arrived at college. Was going for a more uplifting feel. Still a WIP, I kind of hit the wall at the moment. I just noticed it's a tad on the loud side also, looks like I still have a bit of fixing to do heh.

Are they original vocals? if so i'd have a bash at a trancey number, i need to try some new things so would be cool to give it a go

Sounding really good guys, loving what everyone is coming up with.

Here's a minimal track I just wrote inside of Reason. This is my first Reason track.

Notes:
- No VSTs used (Obviously since it's Reason)
- No Refills
- No Samples
- No One Shots
- Drums/Percussion made with the Subtractor (Analog Synthesizer)
- Synths/Sound Effects made with the Subtractor
- Built from the ground on up
- Still needs to be revised in a couple parts of the track
- Final mixdown and mastering still needs attending to

I like it a lot, especially the glitchy part in the middle. 2 things though, you can prolly just say it's techno next time

and change in percussion is way too sudden after the second breakdown. It feels like you started mixing in another track on top of it.

Thanks for the feedback Hawk. I'll see what I can do about that. I think Phineas's version is sounding really nice. It has a very warm vibe to it.

The interesting thing is that I liked the original version of that tune, especially the vocals. So it's nice to hear a couple extra remix's of it.

I like both of them btw, not sure which one more so though.
