I use a mix of hardware software, but I like keeping it in the hardware for as long as possible. Here's my list:

MacBook Pro (of course)
Presonus Firepod
Reason and Ableton Live, seldom used these days :P
Logic Pro Studio 9
Absynth 4 for sound design
Yamaha TX7 and TX802 (underused)
Akai S2000 (also underused)
Roland Alpha Juno 1

But my REAL go-to workstation is a Synclavier PSMT with 32 voices sampling, 32 voices FM, 64MB sample memory.

And I program all my own sounds.

As a piano player, my favorite MIDI keyboard is the Studiologic SL-990. Full 88 hammer-action keys and very sturdy. I run it through TruePianos or Akoustik Piano and it translates nicely.
