Hmm.

I've been lurking for about ... well, years, anyways.

I'm an old man, I'm tired of FM radio where everyone is screaming/growling their life's angst, or the "DJs" are playing 20 year old classic rock as if I never heard it 300 times already, or the singers are crying in their skunky country beer or someone is drumming the 'death metal/thrash' tom-tom at 200BPM (that last genre is just so.... 'cardiac arresty').

Here, in electronica land, I'm liking the fresh (to me) tracks and really liking the idea that most (yah, not all) electronica doesn't do vocals (yay!). I seem to like PsyTrance, mostly the more dark tracks; just decided to join because of listening to Psychill - I never heard about that genre before. I can picture the next decade being laid to waste while listening to that stuff!

I've played with a couple tracker programs for fun but I'm really bad at it.

I use Linux 99.9 % of the time (I don't say I'm any kind of administrator, I'm just a user, often I'm just a luser). Been booting Linux as my main OS for a decade.

HI! Someone told me that I would absolutely love DI, so I checked it out and fell in love. And then I discovered the forums. I've never really been one to be part of an online community, but this seems like the perfect place to start! I love music.(dubstep is my favorite

) Everything about it. Singing to it, dancing to it, watching people perform, writing my own songs, my friends creating music(i could go on and on I'm sure you know and understand exactly where I'm coming from). I'm from a small town in southeast iowa. But i feel like i have a lot to learn, and possibly give back to this wonderful place.

Anyways it's nice to meet everyone! and I hope to meet some amazing people and hear some amazing music!!
