Do you plan your Black Friday with the precision of a military unit?
Do you and your family fan out across Wal-Mart in color-coordinated sweats, walkie talkies in hand, to find the best deals on the day after Thanksgiving? Is Black Friday - the opening of the holiday shopping season - an annual event at your house that requires scouring ads, planning ahead and coordination? ![]() ![]() In this economic climate, things may get even crazier than normal, so be prepared! I stole this wonderful List for the best Black friday sales from my friend, you can create your own shopping list also. Hehe... What are your Black Friday plans? |

With the economy the way it is, I'm not sure I'll even be able to buy anything good for anyone.
![]() Besides, I've seen the madness on the news every year. Not sure it's worth it. ![]() Anyone see the footage of the lady who lost her wig during a Black Friday stampede couple years back? ![]()

I used to plan out my Black Friday campouts with a lot of effort including having my friends wait in line at different stores so we can all get something we want. I also used to drive around the stores at odd intervals after Thanksgiving dinner to see if any lines have formed. All that effort stopped about two years ago when I scouted my local Best Buy and at around 8:30pm, there was already a line that wrapped all the way down the street. Then last year I saw a line outside a store at around 5 or 6 pm. Since then, I have lost my desire to camp out and would rather prefer to be indoors enjoying my turkey.
I plan to go clothes shopping this Black Friday though. Something different from my normal routine of camping out to buy computer stuff. edit: In related news, some people over at the Slickdeals forums have said that one of my local Best Buys already has people lining up...

We may all be from developed Westernised countries, but there's still some major cultural differences...

I hate that the retail industry has created this day that just stretches out the already long Christmas season. At our store, we had xmas stuff out since September 20
![]() Since I work at one of these stores, I'll most likely be scurrying to pickup, cleanup, reorganize the kids' department and man the registers periodically. Although I do have a 7 hour drive from my hometown to get to work, I'm just glad I'm not one of the people scheduled to go in at 4am. Yes, people are SHOPPING at 4 in morning. Just to really mark the insanity of all this.

Yep, that's why we're Americans. Never bothered to do Black Friday, but I'm guessing it's something like this
