Default korg KM-402 or Vestax PMC280

Looking to buy a new mixer and these are the two that come up that are in my budget range. does any one have any suggestions on what one is better or some downfalls with one, I have look into it but you know store owners some times have a bit of a biased opinion.

one thing that I can tell right off the bat is that the input layout for the vestax one sucks, and that from what I have heard korg is new to the mixer market so I am not too sure in the quality.

also is the effects pad on the korg worth it, I have I never used effects before

here are the links for the mixers
korg.com
Vestax Corporation

any one else having any other mixers worth mentioning?

You really have to check online reviews or get a hold of them your self.
Me personally I would go with the Korg & its digital sound processor. I nearly got one of these myself a while back to try. The effects pad is a built in Korg Kaos pad. & it also has the dial which changes the way the 3 band eqs work.

That's not to say the Vestax may be a good mixer too though I used a lot of vestax mixers in the past they seem to hold up well enough to installation use.

Depends how ruff a DJ you are with your equipment ? I would say the Korg might be better overall for home mixing but the Vestax may well be a tuffer build. I have heard the Korg 402 as being a very plasticy affair & not quite upto the build standards as there Zero mixer range. If you hammer everything the Vestax might be a better buy for you.
