RMX v Xponent

Hey, hoping this is in the right forum, if not please move it ^_^

I've been looking to buy some hardware for a while, but am on a relatively small budget and DJ controllers caught my eye, they seem to have the same basics as vinyl or CD turntables but be in a smaller cheaper package. I've narrowed it down to the Hercules RMX and the Torq Xponent.

Was wanting an opinion on which you think would be better suited for just small scale beginner stuff, and if neither then anything else within the price range? Aside from the cables and laptop, is there any extra hardware that would be needed?

Never used rmx. xponent is pretty decent. Ive used my friends a few times. What type of laptop you using?
