haha that's not huge, pretty normal actually. in one of my mixes i went form 125BPM all the way to 170BPM in one transition. now THAT'S what you call a huge BPM rise

how did you do that without the pitch of the track changing dramaticly. ???

Ableton Live is magic when it comes down to tweaking BPM. in fact, here are 3 mixes where I transitioned +20BPM or more at the ends:
- November 2011 (tracks 19>20)
- February 2011 (tracks 41>42)
- March 2010 (tracks 13>14)

you really can't hear ANY artifacts even at such drastic BPM changes, and best of all, pitch stayed untouched

with DJ software you are able to change the tempo of a track and the pitch independently of each other. I always thought you would do that in your sets, too? ...or can't Numark Cue do that

I mean "huge" in a way that it only took one beat to rise 4BPM. This means that if u livemixing, you have under 1 second to rise pitch from (let's say) -3% to 0%. So you have to be fast and accurate. Don't see point to be so fast in livemixing and with trance.

So I end up with conclusion that it's more natural if that change made with some kind of software.

"live mixing" and using DJ software to mix "live" is not a contradiction, I think. You can use DJ MIDI-Controllers for your live mixing and you can prepare your tracks for your live set. So I think you could do such BPM changes "at a jump" even in a live mix (...but that's another story).
