ok, after looking at my first post here I have to change something... i wasnt voting for my personal fav exactly thats why I chose Mario Kart. DIDDY KONG RACING is my favorite kart racer. I dont like kart racers anymore and some arcade racer games cuz the rubber banding techinque is too cheap in them. one reason Im not enjoying the latest Hot Pursuit much now. its an OK game. Diddy Kong Racing from what I remember didnt have the rubber banding effect. Pretty sure.. while Mario Kart did AND gave better weapons to those in worse positions. lame.
as for racers... Im so excited for Need For Speed SHIFT 2!!! a few more days!!

Going back to my last post shift 2 was a big disapointment. I was sort of liking it and that carried on to sort of completing the game to 42%. Then I had enough of it and it was getting cheap and not fun ;O grr! and the new physics or whatever made it a sloppy mess. ANYWAYS! of all the games I got this year - two failed to dissapoint me. Dead Space 2 and Portal 2. BOTH BRILLIANT! PLEASE PLAY THEM!! I played Dead Space 2 mainly at night with my surround sound headphones loud enough to make me pee multiple times, haha!
other games I beat this year in no particular order..(although the REAL order is primarily upon when they released ;p) Killzone 3 - nice action packed campaign but the online, though decent, gets me more furious than Killzone 2. They messed it up as much as they made some things better. weird.. Little Big Planet 2 - although even crazier designs and awesome levels throughout the campaign, I lost excitement for it and only played through it once. Splinter Cell Conviction - It was ok at times. Not a great game. I think more of a foot in mouth since one of the developers slammed Metal Gear before its release saying they want Sam Fischer to feel like a "panther and not someones grandma" - well, congrats on making an inferior experience ;p Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner - I FINALLY PLAYED THIS! it only took what, 5 years after purchasing it ;O Is it this thread or another I mentioned early in the pages I have yet to play it? And someone here was recommending I should...? Great action! some cheap sections with the lock-on system going outta control. some frustrating bosses. still, i cant wait for the Z.O.E HD collection early next year God of War:Chains of Olympus - I had to play something while PSN was down for a month so I dusted off the old PSP I only ever used for maybe 2 hours and played this. Not bad. Kratos is still a lame character. I had fun with it though. Deus Ex: Human Revolution - ok so this game didnt really disapoint me so thats 3 postive games for me this year. Its was kind of a bummer where your actions dont matter as much as it was made out to be. This was the only game I played this year though that I absolutely could not put down more than D.Space 2! I love and miss that feeling 8) Shadow of the Colossus on the Team Ico HD Collection - Just as marvelous as ever! I've not yet played Ico. I got too busy playing more Bad Company 2 before Battlefield 3 came out. Crysis 2 - An alright single player that ranged from average to awesome. the online reminded me of COD4. How it was a futuristic version that ran like shit ;p Homefront - Played about 16 hours online. That was far too much! Garbage. No campaign played yet, hahah! Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard - Funny humor and making fun of video games. Horrible game but it was manageable..wow right?! Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time - The first R&C game I've played. Just an ok platformer shooter. I think after 5 or so games in the franchise the movement of the characters especially when jumping to ledges still needs work. I disliked most of the predictable humor in the game. I'm a funny guy in person so you gotta impress me haha! Uncharted 3 - Its not the drastic change that 2 was to 1, its more of the awesome scenes and action that 2 was, just in different locations and scenarios. It was awesome! I dont feel it was leaps better than Uncharted 2 but I really enjoyed it even if the game does kind of beat itself for you. Very easy. I played LOTS of downloadable games and will try to remember them all. Wheel of Fortune - Its like being on the show but not! Fun was had 8) Swarm - Sick twisted humor = awesome! Poor little swarmites walk, jump or fall to your death be it burning, poisonus gas, explosions or being impaled. Eufloria - an older pc title that I was addicted to for a few days. I havent played in some time after being stuck on level 18.. Dead Nation - as good as top down shooters can get but with loads of zombies and cool weapons! Beat it once in co-op. Renegade Ops - what a blast! literally! lots of cool explosions and things going nuts with the gorgeous Just Cause engine. Cheesey action flic comic style cutscenes. Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection - Only bought this for MK3 - it would be nice if the game doesnt freeze whenever Im almost beating the final guy or Motaro before him that took me an 1hr and a half to beat the first time. Cheap AI changes if you beat them once. good old school madness. grr Plants vs Zombies - I wrote this one off when it first came out awhile back cuz zombies are everywhere! we need something new. but since I got it for free I gave it a try and WOW! its fun, haha! Astro Tripper - Enjoyed it. a different kind of top down shooter. Needed more levels. Comix Zone - thanks to Youtube vids and the "save any time you like" feature to these Sega re-releases, I was finally able to beat the game since I never could when renting it from the local grocery store as a kid. Tetris - what a blast the one battle co-op mode is in 4 players! 3 friends and I spent hours in 2 teams battling each other. my team was losing more often ;p theres on the fly options to attack or defend when you clear lines and have it help you or hinder the other team. its like SNORTING TETRIS! Microbot - my sleeper hit favorite of the year! gorgeous visuals of traveling through the bloodstream and whatnot as this nanomachine. awesome ambient music too ESPECIALLY the first stage. The first stage is in the demo so download it and play/listen! Outland - sweet game not yet beaten. Braid - I see why this game got so much praise! Time altering Mario 8) thats all for now. lets a few out. EDIT: OH YEAH! as for classic games, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is out today which Im about to leave and go get! YES!!!!!

In no particular order:
Planescape: Torment Mafia Half-Life Fallout 2 The Civilization series The Mass Effect trilogy (Although, out of the games I picked, this series probably pisses me off the most, even though I really liked the games) |

Dayz should be on this list somewhere. It's glitchy, full of hackers and needs a complete overhaul of the entire arma 2 engine as well as the hive system, which standalone version will hopefully provide. But if you play the game as intended, level of immersion into the world of Dayz, as well as interaction with other players are incomparable to any game I know of. When you hear a gunshot land at your feet, you heart rate suddenly jumps and you start breathing heavily in real live. You are unable to fight back because your right hand holding the mouse is involuntarily shacking.
