Played it for about 4 years for competition. Now I play casually for exercise. Wish they had better music, In the groove. is fun and has better music. But I lost 35 pounds with DDR. and my friend was overweight and lost 150 pounds, with no diet.

I play Dancing Stage Unleashed on X-Box.
But its not the same like Dance Dance Revolution on Playstation.

The Arrows are not exact with the Beat on X-Box, and that makes the Game very hard to play and score, but its still fun.

I used to play stepmania, haven't owned DDR myself, though I've done it a couple times. Now I can't get back into it as much since I've gotten into things like Guitar Hero and their older games like Frequency and Amplitude. I like the feel of when you mess up, that part of the song actually stops playing. In DDR the lack of that kind of feeling sort of takes away from the gaming experience IMO.

Yeah,

Stepmania is my Favourite.
Lot of Fun to play and you can make Stepfiles of your own favourite Tunes and Tracks.

Do I play DDR? DO *I* PLAY DDR?

Is the sky blue?

haha, joking. I am OBSESSED with DDR. Me and my friends..we can't have a party without DDR involved. I have to dance on every machine I see, and I always take a picture of myself on there (or a friend, just so we can say we danced on another one!!) anyhow, getting back on track, I love Butterfly, Nor Nori Nori, So Fabulous So Fierce, On the Jazz, and Drop Out (the song, not really the steps!!) Haha!!

About a month ago I played some version of DDR on a PS2 at a Bob Evans Employee party. It was pretty fun.

And Sharky, it's for Stepmania, a DDR sim, but many songs are made specifically for keyboard playing.

Speedcore is fun on Stepmania YouTube - Gnostical Speedcore Sunday Stepmania If you ever get a chance, try it. The experience of playing speedcore really allowed me to gain an ear for this genre. (Speedcore is hard 1 handed)

Hmm, I suppose it could be done on a dance pad. But you'd have to get rid of a lot of the double steps.

I've passed it once. Just once. That evil accelerando.

I dislike the fact that the DDR Hottest Party tracklist seem like it was "Americanized" by mixing in R&B, Rock, and Pop songs.

I have serious doubts about getting Hottest Party 2.

Most DDR's ported to home consoles have been americanized even if just a little. Ya might want to seek out ITG 2 (I believe it has all the songs from the first one and more)
