Minecraft anyone? - Page 13

Just a heads up - server will be down tonight. Need to do some IRL maintenance to the room the computer is in.. changing some desks, moving furniture around, and then gonna dust out the PC and such.

I took the rest of sat and sunday off from the server developments, but seems they have a few more updates to fix. Should be aboe to update the new server files, minecart plugin, and then the commands working again.

We will then let it test on those for a week until newer updates are out again next week.

Will bring it down tonight @ about 6:45 MST until tomorrow.

Nah I would never play Minecraft. It's really a game without an ultimate purpose.
I'm also afraid that once I started playing, I'll be one of those "victims"(if you know what I mean).

Well if you don't like sandbox games (you poor soul), then obviously this is not a game for you. Its addictive power is because it has no purpose.

edit - minecraft.net seems to be a bit messed up, so its not really the server i dont think, i think its more with general minecraft, so be patient

i see you trying to log in, sorry man but i dont think it has to do with the server, altho i can try vanilla again.. something just up with MC tonight i believe.

edit: nice new avatar hawk, but too bad the blue breakyupy birds are better

Yep I know, having trouble logging in the last 3 days, but yesterday I did manage to log in but not to connect to the DI server.

anyways...gonna try to get on later tonight

This might have been obvious to some of you already, but I just realized that hitting F3 also tells you (besides Ping and FPS of course) your exact position and elevation in xyz coordinates where Y is elevation and X/Z is your position. No longer need to point east west when looking for somebody or something, just use coordinates. And elevation is super useful while mining for diamond, I was getting tired of counting levels from the bedrock.

To addon to that info, here is the link for the mapmod that will perma display your xyz coords, plus a nice surrounding to yourself.

You can also set waypoints, and they will show the direction on the map as well.

Dusty, im not sure if you know, but you've created an underwater squid farm. All you have to do is punch a hole to create a small stream of water and watch the squid swim in one by one.
