Adrina Thorpe, even tough she has only contributed to 2 songs such as Who Will Find Me and Back to You by DJ Shah I think shes one of the bets.

Tiff Lacey goes alright, most of songs are pretty good like Abbot & Chambers - Where are You (Onova Remix).

Jan Johnston - The first Vocal Trance singer I ever heard on Take Me By The Hand (Sub Merge)
Jaren Cerf - Her voice made her famous in less than 2 years
Jes Brieden - Made some good tracks with Gabriel & Dresden under their Motorcycle name
Josie - Jaren's lil sister She's going pretty good.
Justine Suissa - Great voice, fits well with Above & Beyond
Kirsty Hawkshaw - I love her voice from Beatitude, Reasons To Forgive and Radio Waves.
Tiff Lacey - Definitely my favorite singer
Yana Kay - Another good voice

I fully respect your opinion of not liking vocal trance. But that is just a ridiculous statement. There are plenty of great female vocalists.

anyway from the ones listed here in this thread, which are also the ones that release the most tracks like on an assembly line, please point some out


i do not dislike vocal trance, as long as there is a "quality" voice singing, which these days is very very rare
i actually already played about 3 vocal tracks released this year

Only skimmed through this thread quickly so might have missed some, but from what i saw: Elles de Graaf, Justine Suissa, Andrea Britton, Kirsty Hawkshaw, Jan Johnston, Sarah McLachlan. Some of my favorites are in that list and some i don't care for at all.

Let's not pretend anything, you've made your opinion very clear on many occasions. Sure, there are many crappy vocal tracks. But there are far more tracks with good vocals than you make it out to be. And i can remember various occasions where you've voiced your opinion of not liking a track that did have excellent vocals. And it's fine that you don't like them, that's your opinion, but that does not make them bad vocals/tracks.

i'm not pretending anything and i stand very strongly by my opinion...which happens to be different from what most people consider "quality vocals"

you don't know anything about my past listening habits, which actually included a lot of vocal trance, so drawing a conclusion based on what you've seen my opinion to be in the last couple of years is wrong, also seems to me that like most others you didn't actually bother to understand why and what i dislike nowadays about most vocal trance, and that is perfectly fine as long as my words don't get twisted

same as everyone is entitled to like something, i am entitled to dislike it...plain and simple....


EDIT: and btw i did actually make a vocal set with the voices that i consider to be the best and unique, so no, i am not pretending anything

And you base this on what exactly? We've talked about it plenty of times on msn and i've read your opinion plenty of times in various threads. I believe i do understand why and what you dislike about vocals. Because i don't share your opinion doesn't mean i don't understand it.

Your point being? I never said you dislike all vocal trance. I'm well aware you do like some tracks. But given your opinion as you have expressed it many times over the past few years i'd say it's safe to say you dislike vocal trance in general (=most tracks). And that's fine by me.
