Violent revolution has accomplished nothing in this country for over 200 years(rodney king, oj, watts riots, etc), it is no longer an effective tool IMO. IMO it's all money & politics... just look at what the pharm industry has done to the FDA, you can't tell me lobbying doesnt work, just takes time & money. being couchlocked don't get sh!t done.

i think this would be a valuable topic to discuss here, but... this is suppose to be a "politics free zone" even though the EDM subculture really needs to get politically involved, so in the interest of playing by the rules & not getting this topic closed, i'm going to drop this public discussion.

They are saying on the utrave.org message board that the cops took the permits from them that night at the party, but that they paid with credit cards, so there should be a record. I dunno.

I operate a light and sound company in utah. I was contracted to work this event and saw first hand what happened to many of the party goers. Granted for the most part myself and my crew were left alone many others were not so lucky. This was a major violation to these peoples civil rights and should be addressed. How many party's have been shutdown peacefully. Why did they choose to amke an example out of this one?

in a fooked up country where the police are openly acting as the "mafia" YES, of course you say "what do you want me to do? leave? ok I'll leave" But in a country that's going around the world beating "democracy" into people and preaching "human rights", you shouldn't have to be afraid of being beaten or put in jail without reason
What happened to people's civil rights?

I'm soooooooooo glad I'm a Canadian (we've got issues up here too... but nothing like this)... Americans seriously need to look into who's calling the shots in their country and hopefully make a difference

Don't believe the HYPE people! I saw the video, granted only 2 minutes of it. While I agree there will be exagerations on both sides, I have NEVER in my life seen a party shut down in this manner. It was completely unnecessary, and if it IS true that the promoters had everything in line, then SOMETHING must be done!!! Stand up, make your voice heard!!! The time is NOW!

No, not all police and military are out to get us!!! I still support our troops and officers who have defended my freedoms!! But my freedoms are now being trampled on! And for that I will not stand silently!!!
